Improving your real estate business through Bluetooth

bluetoothtech-main_full.jpg
Bluetooth technology can dramatically improve how we make cell phone calls. Are there other means that the same technology can benefit real estate agents? The answer is YES.

Bluetooth is a wireless communication standard that can interconnect devices over a range of 30 feet. While we are all familiar with connecting our cell phones to various Bluetooth gadgets, there are other peripherals that use Bluetooth to eliminate wires.

For starters, you need to have a Bluetooth transmitter or dongle on your computer. Built-in Bluetooth cards and devices are becoming quite popular in laptop computers. If you are buying a new laptop, make sure that it includes a Bluetooth card.

For those who do not have Bluetooth devices in their existing laptop or desktop, it is very simple. Tech companies offer Bluetooth adapters ranging from $20 to $50. These adapters usually connect via USB console and look much like a flash memory drive.

One example of a Bluetooth adapter is the Kensington Micro Bluetooth Adapter. It is the size of a penny and when plugged into a USB port, sticks out less than a quarter of an inch. This allows you to connect the device and not have to remove it to put your laptop away.
